Loudonville, N.Y. - Siena water polo junior utility Lauren Garrigan was named MAAC Player of the Week as announced by league officials earlier this afternoon. Garrigan posted 19 goals in four weekend games in guiding the Saints to their first ever MAAC Tournament appearance.

Garrigan tallied 23 total points for the weekend, including her 19 goals. She also drew nine ejections and swiped five steals.

Garrigan tied a program record with eight goals on Saturday in a loss to Wagner. She followed that up with an eight point performance (five goals, three assists) against Villanova in a win Sunday.

Garrigan finished the weekend with another monster performance, accounting for six of Siena's 12 goals in a 12-8 win over Saint Francis (N.Y.) which clinched the program's first ever MAAC Tournament berth.

In 29 regular season games, Garrigan stands fourth in the conference with 73 goals, an average of 2.52 per game.

Garrigan and the fourth seeded Saints begin their quest for their first ever MAAC Championship on Saturday against top-seed and tournament host Marist. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
