Loudonville, N.Y. - Siena water polo freshman attacker Devan Ragg was proclaimed MAAC Rookie of the Week on Tuesday afternoon by league officials. Ragg joins teammate Nicole Hagi as being named the second Siena freshman to earn Rookie of the Week distinctions this season after Hagi received the award back on February 19.

A native of Ann Arbor, Mich., Ragg was instrumental in leading the Green and Gold to their first MAAC win of the season over Wagner in overtime on Saturday. Ragg scored the decisive goal in the extra session and finished with a career-high five goals and three assists for eight total points. She was also strong on the defensive end registering three steals.

In four weekend games Ragg amassed nine goals and five assists totaling 14 points plus the game winning tally against the Seahawks. She added three steals and drew two ejections.

Ragg and the Saints return to the pool for the next wave of MAAC action set to get underway Saturday in Philadelphia. The Green and Gold will battle Iona and host Villanova in a pair of contests slated to get underway at 10 a.m.
