April 18, 2004

The Siena College women's water polo team dropped a 17-1 contest against Brown before falling to Connecticut College, 9-7, in the Northeastern Division Championships at Utica Colege in Utica, N.Y. on Saturday, April 17.

In the game-one loss to Brown Erica Strein put away the only goal for the Saints at the 5:58 mark of the fourth quarter. Brown jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the first half enroute to the 17-1 victory.

In game two against Connecticut College, Siena found themselves down 5-3 at the half and was unable to make up the two-goal deficit in the final two quarters of play. Each team put away three in the third and one in the fourth for the eventual 9-7 win in favor of Connecticut College. Strein led the Saints with four goals while Shanna Allen added two and Caitlin Stamp netted one.
