Saints Loses Two Games in the Pool

Villanova, PA - The Siena College women's water polo team dropped two Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference games, falling to Iona 7-2 and Villanova 9-8 at Villanova on Saturday afternoon. The Saints are 6-20-1 and 1-5 in league play.

In game one, sophomore Caitlin Smith scored the Saints two lone goals. Led by senior Shanna Allen seven steals, the Saints nabbed 16 steals in the water. Freshman Laura Garrigan had two field blocks, an assist and a steal.

Sophomore Kaedy Graves made four saves and four steals in net.

Against Villanova, Garrigan tallied three goals, two steals, and one block. Freshmen Lauren Biehle and Lynn Whitmere each added two goals, while junior Anne LaFex added one goal.

Graves made nine saves.

Siena will take on Marist College and Wagner College on the road Saturday, April 22 at 1 and 5:30 p.m., respectively.
