Water Polo Comes Up Short Against Connecticut College, 8-6

March 29, 2004

The Siena College women's water polo team came up short against Connecticut College as they suffered an 8-6 loss on Friday evening. Siena fell to 0-3 with the setback.

Down by four goals at the end of three periods, the Green and Gold opened up the fourth quarter with a pair of tallies to cut the Connecticut lead to just two. But Connecticut quickly responded for a 8-5 advantage and held the Saints to just one more fourth-quarter goal for the 8-6 victory.

Shanna Allen led Siena with four goals, while Angie Mead and Anne Lafex added one each.

Jeanette Ogren made eight saves for the Saints.
