Burgandy McCurty took home the MAAC's initial Offensive Player of the Week award today. McCurty, the reigning MAAC Offensive Player of the Year and 2006 MAAC Rookie of the Year, picked up right where she left off for the three-time defending MAAC Champions in the Hofstra/Asics Invitational this past weekend on Long Island.

McCurty was named to the All-Tournament Team after averaging 18 kills and posting a .443 attack percentage in Siena's two matches. She had 18 kills and just two errors in the season opener against BIG EAST foe Seton Hall and 18 the next day against the host Pride.

McCurty and the Saints lost both matches 3-1.

Siena returns to action this weekend as one of four participants in the Texas A&M Invitational. The Saints tussle with BYU on Friday night and play American University and the host Aggies on Saturday.
