Senior Diana Wierzba killed eight of her first nine attacks and finished with a game high 12 kills and 16 digs to lead Siena past Fairleigh Dickinson 3-0 in televised volleyball action Wednesday night in Loudonville. Wierzba's efforts were complimented by sophomore Amy Christensen, who ended with nine kills in 15 attacks. Abbie Maciolek collected 41 assists playing a strong match at setter.

Siena raced to a decisive 30-20 win in the first game, coasted to a 30-22 victory in the second and rallied from a 25-23 deficit to take the third game 30-28. Liz Hubbard and Leah Mizgalski combined to solidify the Siena middle, accounting for 13 kills in just 26 attempts. Siena's efficient attack connected at a 27.5% clip compared to 10% for the visiting Knights.

Sharon Becker paced Fairleigh Dickinson's attack with 11 kills. The Kinghts fell to 4-9 on the season; Siena is now 4-8.

The Saints continue this mini two-game home stand Saturday at 1 p.m. against Quinnipiac.

The game was televised regionally on Time Warner Cable Channel 3 and will be replayed Thursday at 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 4 p.m.
