LOUDONVILLE, N.Y.-The Siena Saints Women's Tennis Team sent Nikki Mayer and Andrea Disponzio to the ITA East Regionals this past weekend.

Mayer, a junior, lost to Ani Mora of Hartford in the singles competition 2-6, 6-4, 6-2. Mayer has led the Saints in combined singles and doubles wins the past two-plus years with 42 total victories. She has gone 30-11 in singles competition and 17-18 in doubles. Mayer has been a dominant force for the Saints and was named the team's Most Valuable Player last year.

Mayer and Disponzio, who is only a sophomore, fell to the doubles pairing of Trouch and Arthur of William and Mary University in doubles competition 8-1. Disponzio had a 12-9 record in singles competition and went 9-9 in doubles over the past two years. She also earned the team Rookie of the Year Award for her efforts last season.
