Siena's Women's Tennis Coach Tim O'Brien has named Brooke Fisher as the 2004-2005 team captain. Fisher has played singles and doubles for the Saints for the past three years. "Brooke was the winner of the Sportmanship award last year and I am honored to be her coach," O'Brien said. "Noone will work harder than Brooke in making this a successful season." Along with Fisher, the team has six other returning members: senior Anita Pudussseri, juniors Denisa Hluchova and Meghan Slenkamp, sophomores Julia Lebedev, Sugam Langer and Molly Scullin. Incoming freshman Karina Davis of Syracuse looks to be a strong addition to the team as well. Also trying out for the team this fall are freshmen Amy Wysowski and sophomore Mary Geary. Team tryouts begin Friday, September 10. The team opens its season away September 18 at Hartford University. Its first home match is Sunday, September 19 against Wagner College at 1 p.m.
