Old Chatham Tennis Club's Ken Baccaro Teams With Siena's Brooke Fisher to Win Second Annual Mixed Doubles Pro-Am

Feb. 10, 2003

Only one game separated the winning team of Ken Baccaro and Brooke Fisher from the runner up teams of Ken Eserick & Andrea Disponzio and Ron MacFarlane & Rali Hristova in the 2nd Annual Mixed Doubles Pro-Am held Saturday night February 8th at the Old Chatham Tennis Club. Participating club members bid for the opportunity to choose which Siena players would be their partners in the doubles round robin with the highest bidder getting first choice. Pizza and soft drinks were served during the evening. Club manager, Jill Gerrain arranged for the club to donate the court time.

"The level of play of the team members was a lot higher than last year," noted 2002 winner, Ron Frering who teamed with Siena freshman Meghan Slenkamp for this year's event. "I can see why Jeff (Siena Head Coach Jeff Bloomberg) feels this team has a shot at the conference championship, everyone of them is good!"

The Siena Women's Tennis Program is a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and plays its home matches on the Siena College campus located in Loudonville, NY.
