Sept. 30, 2001

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Nikki Mayer (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) and Jenn Fahr (Seaford, N.Y./Gen. Douglas McCarthur) picked up thrilling three set victories as the Saints improved their record to 3-1. For Mayer, the win was her fourth straight at top singles. Later in the day she teamed with #2 Andrea Disponzeo (who won her singles match 7-5 and 6-1) cruising to an 8-0 win at doubles.

Brooke Fisher (Katonah, N.Y./John Jay), playing #5 singles upped her fall record to 3-0 with a convincing 6-1, 6-0 win.

Head Coach Jeff Bloomberg felt Fahr's victory was the key, noting "Jenn showed a lot of heart in her odds-defying, come-back win. That really gave us a spark."
