Women's Tennis Loses to Saint Peter's 6-1

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - The Siena women's tennis team lost 6-1 to Saint Peter's in Jersey City, N.J. on Sunday.

Siena's Sarah Mayer defeated Vanessa Pangikas at #1 singles 6-0, 6-0 to record the Green and Gold's only point of the day. The Saints lost the other five singles matches, four of those being three-set marathons.

Jessica Asselin lost a heartbreaker to Meridith Early in a third set tie break at #4 singles. Early took the match 6-0, 4-6, and 7-6.

Karina Davis and Jessica Asselin defeated Laurie Souksavath and Meridith Early for Siena's only doubles win.

Siena plays their next match on Wednesday at 1 p.m., and will host Marist.
