Women's Tennis Drops First Match of Southern Swing

March 22, 2005

Nova Southeastern won all nine matches in a sweep of Siena Tuesday afternoon in Ft. Lauderdale. Playing without the injured Denisa Hluchova, each of the Saints singles players were forced to play up in the first contest of the team's Florida trip.

Freshman Karina Davis, playing second singles, had the most competitive match of the day. Davis won the first game 7-6 before losing the second and third. Meghan Slenkamp was defeated 6-2 and 6-1 at fourth singles. No other Siena player managed more than two points.
