Siena Swimming and Diving Serves as

Loudonville, N.Y. - This weekend the Siena College women's swimming and diving team visited the Ronald McDonald House in downtown Albany, serving as "Chefs for the Day," preparing a full course meal for families in the house. Members of the team as well as the coaching staff toured and visited the home and prepared a full course meal for the residents. This marks the third year of Siena athletics department-wide partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities. Throughout the academic year, Siena's varsity sports teams will visit the Ronald McDonald House and serve as "Chefs for the Day". Teams also visit children in Ronald McDonald House family room at Albany Medical Center. Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region, Inc. provides comfort, support and respite for families of seriously ill children in a compassionate and home-like environment through the operation of the Ronald McDonald House, and the Ronald McDonald House Family Room in the Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center and awards grants to programs in the community that enhance the lives of children.
