Siena Women's Swimming has Successful Debut Siena swimmers win two of three matches in inagural meet LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena College's 18th Division I sport had its inaugural match Saturday afternoon in Jersey City, N.J. The Saints competed against St. Francis College, St. Peter's College and Wagner College, losing only to the former. Freshmen Martha Kroll (Oxford, Connecticut) and Kelly Pangburn (W. Seneca, New York) were instrumental in the Saints' stellar performance. Kroll won the 50-meter and 100-meter free style with times of 25.27 and 54.94 respectively. Pangburn placed first in the 200-meter free style and 200-meter fly races. She also swam the 500-meter free style in a meet-best 5:28. Classmate Olga Kandaurova (Moscow, Russia) swam the 500-meter free style in 5:51 seconds, helping the Saints to the win over St. Peter's. The Saints will be in action again on November 10th in the Marcelle Athletic Complex for their first-ever home meet against Fairfield. Siena College 109 St. Peter's College 92
