ALBANY, N.Y. - The Siena Saints swimming and diving team spent the latter portion of Saturday afternoon serving as "Chef's for a Day" at the Ronald McDonald House for Charities of Albany preparing a full-course chicken meal, consisting of vegetables, soups and a variety of salads for the many families who live within the home.

"It was a great feeling just knowing that we were able to help out any way we could," senior captain Cat Delaney said. "It's always rewarding to give back to the community and we can't wait to do it again next year."

This has been the second year that the Siena Athletics department has partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities. Throughout the academic-year each varsity sport will pay a visit to the Ronald McDonald House and also the Ronald McDonald House Family Room at Albany Medical Center.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region, Inc. provides comfort, support and respite for families of seriously ill children in a compassionate and home-like environment through the operation of the Ronald McDonald House, and the Ronald McDonald House Family Room in the Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center and awards grants to programs in the community that enhance the lives of children.
