Women's Swimming Stands in Sixth After Opening Day of MAAC Championships

Results

The Siena women's swimming team is in sixth place after the initial day of competition in the MAAC Championships held in Baltimore Thursday. The 400 medley relay team of Shanna Allen, Kaitlin Krause, Dana Golino and Ashley Serrago finished in fourth place in the day's final event, marking the Saints highest finish.

Freshman Ashley Serrago swam to a fifth place in the 50 yard freestyle, the top individual swimming performance of the day for Siena. The Saints diving tandem of Jessica Shada and Leah Serbalik also earned key points. Shada placed fifth after posting the third best score in the preliminary round, while Serbalik checked in eighth.

The Championship continue today (Friday) and conclude tomorrow.
