LEWISTON, N.Y. - The duo of Dana Vernal and teammate Ashley Clingersmith, who, by meet's end would tally 18 points by finishing in first-place in the 100-yard freestyle and 50-yard freestyle, proved to be too much for Siena, as they dropped their third-straight conference meet to the Niagara Purple Eagles by a score of 130-106 in Lewiston Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore diver Lisa O'Connell (Queens, N.Y./Saint Francis Prep) finished in first-place in the 1-meter diving event for the second time in her collegiate career and junior Megan Dobbins (Huntington, Conn./Lauralton Hall Academy) captured her fourth first-place finish of the season in the 400-yard Individual Medley, highlighting the Saints' loss to their conference-foe.

Vernal clocked a time of 2:04.51 to earn a first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle event, while earning her other first-place finish of the day in the 100-yard butterfly event, pacing the pool with a time of 1:04.81.

Freshman Allison O'Keefe (Southington, Conn./Saint Paul Catholic) also captured her first-ever collegiate first-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:33.12 to give the Saints nine points.

The Saints (1-6) are back in action tomorrow at Canisius with a start-time of 10 a.m.
