Siena junior Jennifer Granato (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenedehowa) was one of 12 student-athletes selected to the MAAC Softball First Team today. Granato tied a school record with 12 home runs this season, while leading the team with a .385 batting average and 30 RBI.

Granato posted 12 multi-hit and eight multi-RBI games in 36 games played this season. During one point in the season, she homered in 11 of 17 games.

The Saints also had four players named to the MAAC All-Academic Team. Sophomore Renee Clavette (Danville, N.H. - 3.42 Undecided Arts), junior Andrea Piela (Wallington, N.J. - 3.51 Psychology) and sophomore Jamie Piela (Wallington, N.J. - Undecided Business) joined Granato (3.39 Psychology) on the 55-member team.

Siena finished the 2007 season with an 11-25 overall record, 7-11 in the MAAC.
