GENERAL- Very good defensive player who will see time at a variety of infield positions...A walk-on who has improved dramatically each season with the program...Daughter of Alfred and Kathy DeMarino. AS A JUNIOR- Started in 22 of 25 games played, batting .258...In 62 at bats she had 16 hits and scored one run...Was 1-for-4 at Niagara, scoring one run and chalking up three RBI. AS A SOPHOMORE- Saw limited action starting three games in four appearances...In nine at bats she had three hits, drove in six runs, scored three times and batted .333...Also had a slugging percentage of .556...Had a breakout game against St. Francis (4/7), collecting two hits, four RBI and two runs in three at bats. AS A FRESHMAN- Saw limited action mostly as a defensive replacement...Played seven games, starting three. BRUN ON DeMarino- "Aly has made huge improvements at the hot corner. She sustained a bad muscle pull early this spring she has bounced back pretty quickly. Once she gets back in the groove she'll be seeing some time at third base." |
