LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Freshmen Laura Ettinger and Ashleigh Barone were named to the 2008 women's soccer MAAC All-Tournament Team as announced by the league after today's championship game between Fairfield and Loyola. Fairfield, who defeated the Saints in a penalty shootout on Friday, won the championship 3-0 over Loyola.

Ettinger made nine saves and earned her eighth shutout in the 0-0 semifinal tie against Fairfield. On Thursday evening she was named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team.

Barone finished the season as the league's leading scorer with 35 points. She had a few chances in Friday's semifinal, but they were mostly counter-attacking and against multiple defenders. Barone won MAAC Rookie of the Year and was named to the MAAC First Team and All-Rookie Team.

Ettinger and Barone each won MAAC weekly honors three times during the regular-season.
