Loudonville, N.Y. - Siena women's soccer senior co-captain Amy Loughridge and junior goalkeeper Patti Carroll have been named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District I Second Team for their excellence in both the classroom and on the playing field. The announcement was made recently by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The two-year team captain tallied 16 assists during her four seasons with the Saints which ranks third most in program history. Loughridge is a three time All-MAAC Second Team honoree, and she was named to the conference's All-Rookie team at the conclusion of her freshman season. Loughridge, a two-time MAAC All-Academic selection, carriers a 3.71 cumulative grade point average in economics.

Carroll has been a fixture between the pipes during her tenure with the program. Over her career with the Saints, she has earned MAAC Defensive Player of the Week honors on four occasions and was selected to the MAAC All-Rookie Team. Carroll, a MAAC All-Academic honoree, started 14 games for the Saints this season, posted two shutouts and harbored a 1.83 goals against average. She currently holds a 4.0 cumulative grade point average majoring in physics.

The ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District Teams are selected annually by voting members of CoSIDA. Just five student-athletes from the MAAC's ten women's soccer teams earned this prestigious accolade.
