Alicia Lackey Garners MAAC Offensive Player of the Week Honors

Oct. 10, 2005

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Forward Alicia Lackey (Niskayuna, N.Y.) was announced by the MAAC this morning to be the League's Offensive Player of the Week for the week of October 9.

Lackey's first career hat trick in Sunday's win over Canisius helped seal the deal, each goal came at a crucial time giving the Saints the lead. The tri-captain has found the net at least once in each of the past four games for the Saints and has scored six of the last seven Siena goals overall.

Lackey's previous career high for a season was three goals (2004) and she matched that in the 4-2 conference win over Canisius. The senior is closing out her Siena career in style, leading the team in points (20) and goals (9) while also ranking in the top five in the MAAC in both categories. She also has two game winning goals to her credit this season.

The Niskayuna grad helped lead the Saints to a 1-2 week.

Lackey and fellow seniors Corry Silon and Anna Revette will be honored during a senior ceremony preceding the October 15 game against the Marist Red Foxes. The final home game of the season is set to commence at 1 p.m.
