LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena sophomore forward Maria DeMatteo was named MAAC Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league earlier today. DeMatteo scored three goals and had two assists as the Saints went 2-0-1 this past week.

DeMatteo scored the game winning goal at Holy Cross by running on to a through ball in the right side of the box and hit her shot just inside the far post. DeMatteo had a hand in all three goals against LIU with a goal and two assists (which all occurred within seven minutes). She also scored Siena's lone goal in the 5th minute to earn a 1-1 tie against Wagner.

The Saints return to action Friday at Niagara. Siena enters MAAC play with an undefeated 7-0-2 record.
