Final Stats

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - The Siena women's soccer team dropped its second straight league contest falling 2-0 at Fairfield (7-5-1, 3-0-0) this evening. Stags sophomore forward Casey Frobey posted two first half goals helping Fairfield serve Siena (3-7-1, 0-2-0) its third straight loss.

The teams were matched up evenly through 89 minutes of action, however it was just one minute in the first half that proved to be the decisive factor. With 40:32 on the clock, Casey notched her first score of the game when she connected on a feed from fellow sophomore Alex Caram.

Then less than a minute later, Casey tallied her second goal of the contest. Nicole Cavallaro gathered a loose ball in the box, served a touch pass to Frobey who sent it into the back of the net. This marked her seventh goal of the season.

The Saints had their fair share of opportunities to battle back into the contest as they outshot the Stags 5-0 in the second half. However, Fairfield goalkeeper Brett Maron stepped up to the challenge notching three of her four saves in the final period to preserve the shutout.

Junior goalkeeper Patti Carroll received the loss dropping to 3-5-1 in net on the season.

The Saints look to snap its losing streak on Sunday afternoon when they square off with Iona in New Rochelle, N.Y. Kick off is set for noon.
