Manhattan Knocks Off Saints 16-5

April 14, 2001

Riverdale, NY - Manhattan scored the last five goals of the first half and notched a 16-5 victory over Siena on Saturday afternoon.

Siena's scoring was divided easily as Sarah Estes scored both of the Saints goals in the first half while freshman Kristin Sibilia tallied all of her career-high three goals after halftime. Estes assisted on one of Sibilia's goals as well to finish with 3 points and 8 for the week, including 7 goals.

In the net, Mary-Elizabeth Dupelle withstood Manhattan's strong offensive attack, notching 16 saves while allowing 16 goals.

With the loss, the Saints fall to 0-10 and 0-3 in the MAAC. Siena visits Marist on Wednesday before closing the home schedule with a pair of games next weekend against Niagara and Canisius.
