Siena Women's Lax Places Six On All-Academic Team

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Six Siena student-athletes were among the 45 athletes named to the MAAC Women's Lacrosse All-Academic team released Friday. In order to qualify for the All-Academic team, an athlete must have a 3.2 or better grade point average and be a starter or significant reserve.

Maureen Condon (Massapequa, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) is a biology major. The junior sports a 3.56 grade point average.

Kathryn Horan (East Norwich, N.Y./St. Dominic) was a reserve on this year's squad. She is undecided on her major and has a 3.32 GPA.

Meaghan McMonagle (Avon By the Sea, N.J./Red Bank Regional) is a science major with a 3.32 GPA. She served as the Saints' backup goalkeeper this season.

Stephanie Petruccelli (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) led the Saints with 15 goals and 18 assists. The accounting major has a 3.36 GPA.

Gina Purpura (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) posted nine goals and six assists this season. She has a 3.40 GPA in finance.

Hailey Sweeney (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Ludden) was a reserve for the Saints. The environmental science major sports a 3.38 GPA.
