Red Foxes Race Past Siena, 15-8

Loudonville, N.Y. - Marist's all-time leading scorer Lindsey Diener added six points to her record as the Red Foxes posted a 15-8 win over the Siena women's lacrosse team this afternoon in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Alexandra Kain scored a pair of goals for the Saints who stumbled to their third straight loss.

The Red Foxes (8-7, 5-1) controlled the first half, out-shooting the Saints 18-7, while forcing Siena (3-10, 1-4) into 18 turnovers in the first 30 minutes of action.

Marist scored five of the first six goals, harboring a 5-1 advantage at the 18:46 mark following one of Ali Carnabuci three goals of the afternoon. Siena fought back late in the half to pull as close as 7-4 entering intermission.

The Red Foxes added a trio of goals in the opening minutes of the second half in building a 10-4 as they cruised to the win.

In support of Kain, six other Saints recorded goals with reserves Erin Montgomery and Maegan Connolly leading the way with a pair of points. Liz Peters faced 37 shots in goal, turning aside 13.

The Saints conclude the regular season on Sunday with a trip to first place Fairfield. Game time is set for 12 noon from Bridgeport, Conn.
