Drexel Downs Siena Women's Lax 17-5

April 4, 2002

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Drexel raced to an early 9-2 lead en route to a 17-5 victory in blustery conditions Thursday afternoon. With the win, Drexel improved to 3-5 while the Saints fell to 0-5.

Three different Dragons notched hat tricks, led by Jen Bonini who had three goals and an assist. Laurie Bean and Jamie Kosmaczewski also found the back of the net three times. Jamie Connahan had a goal and four assists and Stephanie Hanshaw added two goals and two assists.

Four different Saints scored, led by Sarah Estes who scored twice. Goalie Mary-Elizabeth Dupelle was busy in net, making 14 saves.

Siena opens a two-game road swing at LeMoyne on Saturday at noon.
