Women's Golf Finishes Third Following Final Round of Youngstown State Invitational
Youngstown State Invitational Final Results Sept. 12, 2006
WARREN, OHIO - The Siena Saints women's golf team concluded the final round of the Youngstown State/Taco Bell Invitational in third place, shooting a 639 on a rain-saturated Avalon South Golf Course in Warren, Ohio, Tuesday. Seniors Laura Woolgar (Pearl River, N.Y./Pearl River) and Megan Angis (Saco, ME/Thornton Academy) both shot a team-low 83, placing them tied for seventh overall with a combined two-day score of 159. Capturing the invitational crown was Bowling Green State University, who shot a 626. Rounding out the top-five finishing teams was the University of Detroit Mercy in second and Cleveland State University in fourth, followed by host, Youngstown State in fifth. Junior Bridget Erwin (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) tied for 11th place, shooting a 78, finishing the tournament with a combined score of 161. Fellow junior, Melissa Agostinelli (Rochester, N.Y./Aquinas) tied for 15th place after shooting a 79. Agostinelli completed the event with a score of 162. Freshman Bridget Carr shot an 85, finishing the tournament tied for 19th with an overall score of 166. Next up for the Saints is the three-day long Dartmouth Invitational, beginning on Friday in Hanover, N.H.
