Siena Women's Golf Ends U. of Cincinnati Invitational in 8th Place

2007 University of Cincinatti Invitational Final Results

CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. - With a total score of 673 strokes, the Siena Saints women's golf team finished the 2007 University of Cincinnati Invitational in eighth place Saturday behind the University of Alabama-Birmingham, who tied in sixth place. Capturing the invitational crown was Florida Atlantic University, who tallied 620 strokes.

The Owls' Praewnapa Phol-Uayporn led all golfers, capturing the individual crown with a two-day score of 146 strokes after registering a low round of 71 in the final day of action.

For the Saints, junior Melissa Agostinelli (Rochester, N.Y./Aquinas) led the charge, finishing tied in 28th place with a two-day score of 164 strokes (83-81). Junior Bridget Erwin (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) tied in 41st place after firing a 169, while freshman Bridget Carr (Snyder, N.Y./Nardin Academy) completed the invite one stroke behind her teammate tied in 43rd place (86-84-170).

The Saints will next take part in the two-day long Georgetown Invitational on April 1 in Leesburg, Virginia.
