Siena Field Hockey Visits Ronald McDonald House
Sept. 15, 2008
Loudonville, N.Y. - The Siena field hockey team took time out from their busy in-season schedule this weekend to pay a visit to the Ronald McDonald House in downtown Albany. The Saints volunteered their time to help clean the facility and also prepare a savory meal for the home's residents. The field hockey team is one of many Siena athletics programs which have planned visits scheduled to the house this academic year. 2008-09 marks the fourth year of the Saints in the Community initiative, of which the Ronald McDonald House Charities is an integral part of. One of the main objectives of the Siena Athletic Department has always been to remain actively involved in the Capital Region community through its Saints in the Community program. Siena's student-athletes and coaches make regular appearances at the Ronald McDonald House, local classrooms and hospitals throughout the year.
