Kaitlyn Skelley Named Assistant Field Hockey Coach at Siena College
June 13, 2007 LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena College has announced the hiring of Kaitlyn Skelley as assistant field hockey coach, effective immediately. Skelley will aid the program in every facet, including recruiting, game preparation and on-field coaching responsibilities. "It's a pleasure to have Kaitlyn on board," athletics director John D'Argenio said. "I am confident that she will help the field hockey program to great success." Skelley most recently served as a graduate assistant at Ithaca College where she assisted recruiting, practice preparation and other administrative functions associated with the field hockey program. Alongside her stint with the Bombers, Skelley was an assistant coach with the USA Field Hockey Future's Program where she taught curriculum to standout athletes. This role helped to improve fundamentals, tactics and advanced skills. From 2002-2006, Skelley was a head coach at UNH's Field Hockey Camp, where she provided the development of field hockey skills to high school athletes under the guidance of Wildcats' head coach Robin Balducci. Skelley was a successful student athlete at the University of New Hampshire where she was a four-year letter-winner for the Wildcats. In 2004-05, Skelley garnered America East Academic Honor Roll accolades alongside receiving the Joyce V. Hiller Scholarship Award. In 2002, Skelley won the UNH Freshman Award and was selected to the America East All-Rookie Team. Skelley received her Bachelor of Science degree from UNH as a business administration and management major with a minor psychology.
