Box Score

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Senior defender Megan DeCesaris accounted for a pair of Bobcat goals, while teammate Jennifer Kinchla represented the other, as Quinnipiac (6-6, 3-1) cruised to a 3-0 victory over the Siena Saints (2-8, 2-2) at College Park in Schenectady Sunday afternoon.

DeCesaris registered the game's first goal seventeen minutes in when teammate Jaime Cassesse slipped her a feed off of a penalty corner and fired it past Saints' goalkeeper Jennifer Tesak (New Hartford, N.Y./New Hartford) to make the game 1-0.

After exiting the field with a one-goal lead at halftime, the Bobcats remained resilient offensively, as Kinchla increased the lead to two after firing a shot past Tesak from the right flank. Kinchla was assisted by red-shirt junior Megan Dahle, who slipped the ball through a Siena defender to her open teammate.

The Bobcats bolstered the victory five minutes later when DeCesaris scored her second goal of the game off of another penalty corner, giving Quinnipiac a three-goal victory.

Playing all 70 minutes in the cage for Siena, Tesak tallied six saves on 17 attempted shots by the Bobcats. Siena took eight shots by game's end.

The Saints are back in action on Friday, as they travel to West Long Branch, N.J. to face Monmouth University. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
