Final Stats

Kara Gonnerman and Brittany Gildea each came off the bench to score two goals to pace Holy Cross past Siena 7-1 in the season opener for both schools in Worcester Tuesday. Hanna Lestrange notched Siena's only goal with just under 10 minutes to go.

Holy Cross got on the board just 1:43 into the game when Gonnerman finished a Courtney Callahan feed. Less than two minutes later, the Crusaders got another score as Jessie Cullen scored off a penalty corner.

Sara O'Coin registered an assist on Holy Cross' third goal and scored the fourth goal with just 16 seconds to go before intermission as the Crusaders took a 4-0 lead to the break.

LeStrange found the back of the cage for the Saints after Gonnerman score her second goal. Carli Atkinson assisted on LeStrange's goal. Atkinson also recorded one of the Saints three shots on goal.

Starting goalie Renee Clavette had three saves in the first half for the Saints.

Siena returns to action at Villanova Saturday.
