Michelle Collins enters her first season in her second stint as assistant coach at Siena College.

Collins returns to Loudonville after serving as the head women's basketball coach at SUNY-Oswego for the past seven seasons. Collins ranks as the winningest coach in Oswego women's basketball history after compiling an impressive 115-70 record. In her last four seasons with the program, Collins posted consecutive 20+ win seasons and postseason berths.

In 2005, she guided the Lakers to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in program history. During this magical run, SUNY Oswego posted a school record 24 wins and captured the SUNYAC Conference Title.

In 2006, Collins nabbed the Basketball Coaches Association of New York (BCANY) Coach of the Year honors following an incredible run where Oswego earned the program's first SUNYAC Tournament Championship. This also ensured the Lakers an automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament.

Throughout her tenure at Oswego, Collins coached eight different players who received All SUNYAC honors. This included the 2005 SUNYAC Player of the Year (Kelly Mraz) and two SUNYAC Rookies of the Year (2002 and 2004).

Prior to this experience, Collins worked as an assistant coach at Canisius College from 1998 to 2000. In this role, she was responsible for the development of both the post players and point guards. In addition, Collins handled the program's scheduling.

Collins also recruited the MAAC Player of the Year (Jenel Stevens), as well as two additional All-Conference players.

Collins began her coaching career at Siena, serving a three-year stint on Castelli's staff from 1994-97. She worked primarily with developing the guards and actively recruited premier high school student-athletes which included MAAC Player of the Year (Melanie Halker).

Collins was a four year letter winner at Siena where she currently stands as the program's all-time career assist leader (498). During the 1990-91 campaign, Collins engraved her name in Siena women's basketball history when she became the single season steals leader (97).

Collins earned her bachelors degree in social work in 1993.
