LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena College men's head tennis coach Jim Serbalik has been named MAAC Coach of the Year. Serbalik joins men's lacrosse head coach Brian Brecht and men's golf head coach Tom Wronowski as Siena coaches to earn the honor this season.

Serbalik led the Saints to a 7-11 overall record this season and a 3-4 mark in MAAC play. The Saints earned the #5 seed in the MAAC Tournament, where they were defeated by rival Fairfield in the opening round. Siena was 6-11 with a 2-5 mark in the MAAC in 2005-2006.

Serbalik just completed his 17th season as head coach of the men's tennis program at Siena. The future looks bright for the Saints as only one player was lost to graduation this season and five of the top singles players return next year including #1 Jeremy Deuel and #2 Nick Rutherford.
