Men's Tennis Moves to 3-1 in MAAC with 5-2 Win over Loyola
March 31, 2007 Sophomore standouts Jeremy Deuel and Nick Rutherford won at first and second singles and combined to win at the top doubles spot to pace Siena's 5-2 win over Loyola Saturday in Loudonville. Chris Auffredou and Mike Aliotta also picked up singles wins for the streaking Saints. Deuel improved to 5-6 at top singles this season with a 6-3, 7-6 (8) win over Scott Gannon. Rutherford went the distance to earn a key 6-1, 6-7 (4) and 6-1 win over Ben Epstein. With Loyola holding third and fourth singles, Auffredou and Aliotta each battled for wins at fifth and sixth singles for the Saints. Aliotta won a three-set decision over Peter Edgar after dropping the first set 6-1. Singles SC Jeremy Deuel def.
