LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Junior midfielder Anthony Tagliaferri was named MAAC Offensive Player of the Week earlier this afternoon by league officials. Tagliaferri scored three goals including the game winner in double-overtime to defeat Iona and clinch the #2 seed in the 2008 MAAC Men's Soccer Championships.

Tagliaferri (West Sayville, N.Y./Saint John the Baptist) is second on the team in scoring with four goals, four assists and 12 points.

The #2 Saints face #3 Fairfield in the MAAC Tournament on Friday at 7 p.m. in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
