LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - After recording two shutouts in critical conference matchups, Siena goalie Jonathan Hicks was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Week Monday.

Hicks (Merrick, N.Y./Chaminade) went the distance in Siena's 0-0 tie with Marist on Tuesday, making 12 saves. The junior made four saves in Siena's 2-0 win at Niagara on Sunday which clinched a spot in the conference tournament.

After missing most of the early part of the season with an injury, Hicks ranks third in the conference in save percentage at .816 and fourth with a 1.31 goals against average.

The Saints (6-8-1, 5-3-1 MAAC) host LaFayette in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday. Siena opens play in the MAAC Tournament against either 11th-ranked Loyola or 12th-ranked Fairfield on November 9th at Rider.
