Loudonville, N.Y. - The Siena men's soccer team was selected ninth overall in the North Atlantic region according to the latest NSCAA/adidas Regional Rankings published earlier this week. The Saints are off to a solid start this season standing 3-2-1 overall. Siena is currently riding a three game winning streak thanks to recent victories over non-conference rivals UMass, St. Francis and UAlbany.

Freshman goalkeeper Steve Skonieczny has helped anchor the superb efforts of the Saints defensive unit so far this season. Siena currently stands second in the league with a 0.74 goals against average. On Monday, Skonieczny earned his second consecutive MAAC `Player of the Week' award for his brilliant shutout performances over two contests last week.

The Saints return to action Saturday afternoon when they welcome Holy Cross to Loudonville. Game time is set for 1 p.m. on Siena Field.
