LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Junior goalkeeper Kyle Christiansen (Troy, N.Y./Tamarac) earned MAAC Defensive Player of the Week for the week of August 28 as announced by the conference office Tuesday.

Christiansen recorded the Saints first shutout of the season in a 0-0 tie with Central Connecticut State in the home opener on August 30. Christiansen tallied three saves on the day, and held the Blue Devils scoreless for 110 minutes in a spot start in lieu of injured captain Patrick Henry.

Christiansen lettered three years of varsity soccer at Tamarac High School and was named Class C Section II All Star.

The Saints are on the road facing Drexel tonight at 7 p.m. then travel to face the Minutemen of Massachusetts Friday at 4 p.m.
