LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference released its preseason soccer coaches polls today and the Saints were picked to finish in the middle of the standings.

Coach Charlie Curto's team was voted sixth of ten teams. Siena received 45 points in the voting, placing the Saints behind preseason favorite Loyola (96), Fairfield (85), Marist (85), Rider (68) and Iona (49). The Green and Gold were picked ahead of Manhattan (37), St. Peter's (34), Canisius (31) and Niagara (18). The top four teams qualify for the MAAC Tournament at the end of the season.

The Saints return seven starters from last year's team which finished 6-11-1 and 4-5 in the MAAC. Siena opens its schedule at the URI Tournament September 1st.
