Lawrenceville, N.J. - The Siena men's soccer team was defeated today 1-0 by the Rider Broncs in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play.

Rider sophomore Jake Trainor scored on a 15-yard shot off a corner kick from junior Bob Francis 9:13 into the second half for the only goal of the game.

Siena (6-9-1, 4-3 MAAC) out-shot the Rider (9-8, 6-1 MAAC) 14-7 in the rough contest that featured 44 fouls. Rider freshman goalkeeper Brian Gill made six saves, while Siena goalkeeper Andrew Sether (Garden City, N.Y./Valley Stream South) made just one save.

The Saints will next be in action at home against Marist on October 25 at 3:00 p.m.
