The Siena College soccer team (1-1) earned an impressive 1-0 overtime victory Sunday afternoon over the Maine Black Bears (1-1) in the final round of the URI Tournament. Senior David Martella (Northport, N.Y./Kings Park) scored the game-winning goal in overtime off an assist from junior Kevin Purcell (Albany, N.Y./Guilderland).

Sophomore Jonathan Hicks (Merrick, N.Y./Chaminade) earned his first career shutout, saving four Maine shots to help preserve the win for the Green and Gold.

Martella led the Saints with seven shots, before breaking through with the game-winner after 99 minutes and 54 seconds of action. Mat Cosgriff had five saves for Maine in the loss.
