Curto Adds Defender to 2006 Men's Soccer Roster
June 29, 2006 Head men's soccer coach Charlie Curto received a National Letter of Intent from Daniel Albert today, confirming his commitment to join Siena's men's soccer program beginning this fall. Albert comes to Loudonville after a standout scholastic career in Brampton, Ontario located just outside of Toronto. "Dan will be able to contribute immediately on our left side defense," Curto said. "He also has the ability to go forward and create scoring chances." Albert captained the soccer team at Cardinal Leger Secondary School in Brampton the last four years. He helped the team win the division title as a sophomore. He served as an assistant captain for the Woodbridge Strikers, a club team that won two National Championships, four Ontario Cup Champions and six straight league titles. Albert also played for the Ontario Provincial Team for three years, reaching the finals at the National Tournament. He is currently playing for the U-20 Toronto Lynx in the Super Y-League.
