Final Stats

Loudonville, N.Y. - The Siena men's soccer team fell to Marist (5-6-2, 2-2-1) 1-0 this evening in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Red Foxes freshman forward Joe Touloumis posted the game winning goal in the 13th minute to help Marist get past Siena (4-7-2, 1-3-1).

The match proved to be a defensive battle as both teams struggled to put goals on the scoreboard. Although, with 12:26 on the clock the Red Foxes got the lone break of the contest when Touloumis accepted a cross in the box and sent a header into the back of the net.

Saints goalkeeper Steve Skonieczny notched a game-high three saves over 90 minutes of action in net. Daniel Owens earned the shutout for the Red Foxes posting two saves on the evening.

Both squads were locked at 10 shots apiece in the defensive stalemate.

With the loss, the Saints drop to 4-7-3 overall and 1-3-1 in the MAAC. Siena returns to action on Friday as they are set to square off with Fairfield in Loudonville. Game time is slated for 3 p.m.
