AMHERST, MASS. - Paul Ciovacco and Chris Hewitt scored goals for Siena but it was not enough as UMass ended Siena's three-game winning streak 3-2 Tuesday afternoon.

Ciovacco (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Arlington), the MAAC Player of the Week, scored to tie the game at one late in the first half for Siena. After the Minutemen scored twice to take a 3-1 lead, Hewitt's (Highland, N.Y./Highland) first goal of the season pulled the Saints to within a goal late in the second half but it was not enough.

The Saints (4-7-1, 3-2 MAAC) return to action this weekend when they host a pair of crucial MAAC contests. The 11th-ranked Loyola Greyhounds visit Loudonville Saturday morning and Rider plays at Siena Sunday afternoon.
