Buffalo Bulls Over Men's Soccer 4-0

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Host school Buffalo was too much for Siena as the Bulls won their own tournament by knocking off the Saints 4-0 Sunday afternoon. Despite the loss, senior Kevin Purcell was named the tournament's Offensive Most Valuable Player for his goal-scoring performance against Canisius. Dan Wielechowski, Mike Peplinski, Dave Pidgeon and Jeff Gallusser all scored for the Bulls (3-1). Siena (1-2-1, 1-0 MAAC) finished the tournament 1-1 after beating MAAC foe Canisius 4-1 yesterday. The Saints were outshot by Buffalo 13-3. The Green and Gold open the home schedule Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. against Central Connecticut State.
