Loudonville, N.Y. - Siena men's lacrosse sophomore standouts Ryan Duggan and Brent Herbst were each honored by the conference this afternoon with their weekly awards following a pair of wins over then #17 Loyola and Hartford. Duggan was tabbed MAAC Player of the Week, while Herbst secured Defensive Player of the Week honors for the third time in five weeks of voting this season.
Duggan was the offensive difference maker in the Saints 5-4 upset victory over #17 Loyola on Tuesday in Baltimore, Md. The East Setauket, N.Y. native was involved in four of the five Siena goals, recording a hat trick while also adding an assist. It was Duggan's goal earlier in the third period that proved to be the game-winner in arguably the biggest win in program history.
